Sec. 4.61. Adoption of Classification and Compensation Plan.

non-represented employee who is designated to perform the duties of Budget Director for the Mayor’s Office may, as determined by the Mayor, receive salary up to the fourth premium level rate above the employee’s appropriate step rate of the salary range prescribed for the employee’s classification. Only one employee shall be eligible to receive this additional premium level compensation at any given time. The additional premium level compensation is pensionable. NOTE E. (None) NOTE G. (None) NOTE H. A person employed in this class of position when required to perform duties more than 50% of the employee’s time in any one day consisting of working on a ladder, scaffolding, a hydraulic lift platform, or working from a scaffold or other device that is suspended by ropes or cables; or operating compressed air spray apparatus to spray emulsified asphalt or weed control chemicals from a moving vehicle or to spray paint, or using a steam cleaning apparatus employing a heavy-duty caustic soda as a detergent; or performing duties in a deep sewer over 8 feet in depth consisting of timbering, shoring, tunneling, pipe laying and concreting, shall receive for each day the second premium level rate above the appropriate step of the salary range prescribed for this class. NOTE J. (None) NOTE K. (None) NOTE N. A person employed in this class of position, when required to work more than 50% of the employee’s time, on any one day between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., shall receive for each such day worked, salary at the second premium level rate above the appropriate step of the salary range prescribed for this class. NOTE P. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS IN LABOR RELATIONS AND HUMAN RESOURCES. Employees in the non-represented classifications of Chief Personnel Analyst, Senior Personnel Analyst, Senior Labor Relations Specialist, and Labor Relations Specialist who possess a senior-level certification from the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) or the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and/or a professional certification from the California Public Employers Labor Relations Association (CALPELRA) shall be eligible to receive premium level compensation in the amount of 2.75% above their regular, biweekly base salary rate.
