Sec. 8.234. Officers. The Commission shall choose a presiding officer from among its membership and that person shall call and preside over the Commission and its meetings. The Commission shall choose a pro-tem presiding officer from among its membership, who shall preside over the Commission and its meetings and perform the duties of presiding officer in the absence of said officer. Each such officer, except for those elected at the Commission’s organization meeting, shall hold office for one year and shall be elected during the Commission’s first regular meeting in July.
